AAPL share price briefly returns to the $100 mark

It's been awhile. After Apple's last earnings report on April 26, 2016, the price of Apple shares dropped below the $100 and until today, it had not returned to that level. Based on anticipation of the iPhone 7 family this fall and "better than expected" news from the company when it releases its third-quarter earnings next week, shares went above $100 briefly and are now hovering around that mark.

Apple fights headwinds, reports revenues of $50.6 billion

The second quarter results for fiscal year 2016 are in, and Apple is dooooomed. DOOOOMED! (Not really) The company posted quarterly revenues of $50.6 billion and net income of $10.5 billion ($1.90 per diluted share). That compares to revenues of $58 billion for the year-ago quarter and net income of $13.6 billion ($2.33 per share).

Apple does it again: Record 3rd quarter results

Apple released its fiscal year 3rd quarter results this afternoon, and the numbers look great. The company posted a quarterly revenue of $49.6 billion with a net profit of $10.7 billion ($1.85 per diluted share). That's in comparison with the year-ago quarter when Apple's revenues were $37.4 billion with a net profit of $7.7 billion.
