Japan earthquakes not expected to affect Sony’s production of image sensors for smartphones

Sony said a factory producing image sensors for smartphone makers such as Apple will remain closed while it assesses the damage from two deadly earthquakes which hit southern Japan, reports Reuters. The quakes measured up to 7.3 in magnitude and, tragically, killed at least 42 people.
