Here's a scenario you might find familiar. You're listening to Beats 1 when a great song comes on that you haven't heard before. You try to add it to your collection but it's not available. You search the iTunes Store but it's not there either. In the meantime, the song is over. What was it again? Drat, I forgot. Oh well.

When Beats Music was announced in January of 2014, I had accounts with Rdioand Pandora, and each served a purpose. I used Pandora's themed, streaming stations as a limitless shuffle mode, while Rdio was a library of on-demand music. Beats Music offered both options plus the careful curation of its employees and partners. I was hooked and went all-in just a few days after launch, ditching both Rdio and Pandora.

Certain shows on Apple's Beats 1 will accept requests from listeners. You can submit a request into one of three ways. 

First, pick up the phone. That's totally old school, but so is listening to the radio. Just point your browser to http://beats1radio.com/requests  to find a list of numbers for customers in 13 countries, including the US, Canada, France, Japan and Germany.
