Whether or not Apple ever actually ships an electric car, the company has covered itself in terms of future website needs by registering three domain names. MacRumors posted the news earlier today, showing that Apple grabbed apple.car, apple.cars, and apple.auto in December 2015 through registrar MarkMonitor Inc.
