LG Rolls out Apple AirPlay 2 support on 2019 LG OLED, LG NanoCell 4K UHD TVs

LG Electronics USA says Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit are now available through a firmware update on select LG OLED and NanoCell 4K UHD TVs with ThinQ AI capability in the U.S. (excluding the SM8100 series). The remaining 4K UHD TV series in LG's lineup are expected to also receive this update later in 2019.

LG Electronics (LG) saysApple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit will be available starting July 25 on its 2019 AI TV lineup, making LG the first global TV manufacturer to support HomeKit. These Apple features will be available through a firmware update for 2019 LG OLED TVs, NanoCell TVs and UHD TVs with ThinQ AI capability.
