  • developer.apple.com has been down for a while today, and many think it's due to a hacker attack. Many accounts had profile information changed to a Russian address
  • The US House of Representatives unanimously voted in approval of a proposal to accelerate autonomous vehicle testing and research
  • September 15 at midnight Pacific Time appears to be when pre-orders for new Apple products will be available
  • iOS 11 beta 10 makes it to developer devices less than a week before the golden master may be released

Slack users: Set up two-factor authentication now

Over a half-million users sign into Slack every day at work from their iPhones, iPads, Macs, or those “other platforms.” It’s a very popular and new collaboration tool for teams; we use it here at Apple World Today, and I actually communicate with another team through the app. Well, today the commpany announced that there was “unauthorized access to a Slack database containing user profile information,” and recommends that users change their passwords and enable Two-Factor Authentication as well.
