Protect your iPad Pro & Smart Keyboard Folio with the DODOcase Smart Keyboard Folio Sleeve

Protect your iPad Pro & Smart Keyboard Folio with the DODOcase Smart Keyboard Folio Sleeve

I love my 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro with the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio, as it’s fast, sleek and slender. I also worry about it, since dropping the thin combination could damage the iPad Pro or Smart Keyboard Folio beyond repair. Fortunately, DODOcase has come to the rescue with the new Smart Keyboard Folio Sleeve (starting at $74.95) in sizes that fit Apple’s products in both the 12.9-inch and 11-inch sizes.

DODOcase Leather Apple Pencil Sleeve: Saving your Pencil from being a cat toy

The Apple Pencil may “roll to a stop” when it’s nudged on a desk, but in my house it’s a popular cat toy. That’s one reason I was happy to see DODOcase has developed a Leather Apple Pencil Sleeve ($24.95) that can also serve double-duty as a beautiful leather bookmark

DODOcase SMARTvr brings virtual reality to almost every smartphone

DODOcase SMARTvr brings virtual reality to almost every smartphone

Earlier this year I wrote a review of the DODOcase P2 Virtual Reality Popup Viewer, an inexpensive VR viewer that works with Google Cardboard-compatible apps to turn an iPhone (or most smartphones for that matter) into a virtual reality headset. About the only problem I really had with the P2 was that truly was made out of cardboard -- and not of the Google variety -- and I found that the more I used it, the more beat up it got. Fortunately, DODOcase ran an Indiegogo campaign to bring a much more durable and good-looking VR viewer to market in the form of the $39.95 SMARTvr Smartphone Virtual Reality Viewer

Review: DODOcase Leather iPhone Card Case

Card cases that turn your iPhone into a wallet capable of carrying a driver's license and a couple of credit cards are nothing new, but it's always newsworthy when a noted accessory manufacturer comes out with one. In this case, the accessory manufacturer is DODOcase, the San Francisco-based maker of an huge array of iPhone and iPad cases that utilize the company's expertise in bookbinding techniques.

DODOcase SMARTvr: Bringing virtual reality to the masses

DODOcase SMARTvr: Bringing virtual reality to the masses

Since Palmer Luckey and his crew at Oculus have decided that Macs just aren't good enough for his overpriced, overhyped, and late-to-market virtual reality headset, those of us who use Macs and iOS devices will just have to go elsewhere. Fortunately there are some good inexpensive solutions already (ViewMaster, anyone?) and now the good folks at DODOcase in San Francisco have a nifty VR viewer going through crowdfunding. The DODOcase SMARTvr just launched on Indiegogo, and you can pre-order by backing the device for as little as $28.

Virtual reality on the cheap with DODOcase P2 Virtual Reality Pop-Up Viewer

Virtual reality on the cheap with DODOcase P2 Virtual Reality Pop-Up Viewer

Virtual reality is one of those tech dreams that always seems like it's just around the corner. My first experience with it was way back in 1995, with a VR FPS game that required wearing a heavy helmet to look at a computer-generated (and quite primitive) battle scene. It always made me semi-nauseous and gave me a minor headache. Fast-forward to 2016, and we have a lot of high-resolution VR headsets that are either available or to be released soon. For those who want to dabble in VR without the expense of one of those headsets, take a look at the DODOcase P2 Virtual Reality Cardboard Pop-Up Viewer ($25.00, on sale today for $17.50).

DODOcase taking orders for Multi-Angle for iPad Pro

DODOcase taking orders for Multi-Angle for iPad Pro

San Francisco-based DODOcase has been making beautiful bound cases for iPads since day one, so it's no surprise that the company has just announced the Multi-Angle for iPad Pro (US$79.95).

The company's signature iPad cases have always used a wood tray to hold the iPad, but the company realized that the larger size of the iPad Pro would make the case too thick and heavy, so they've moved to a polymer tray now. The result is a rather skinny case, just 0.625 inches thick.

DODOcase Lorna iPhone Wallet Case: Finally, a real replacement for a wallet

DODOcase Lorna iPhone Wallet Case: Finally, a real replacement for a wallet

There are a lot of iPhone cases that offer the opportunity to carry your iPhone as well as your cash and credit cards; I think I’ve personally reviewed well over a hundred of them! But most of these wallets have one problem in common. If you suffer from Fat Wallet Syndrome like I do, they aren’t a solution that is going to allow you to get rid of carrying a “real” wallet. DODOcase has recently introduced the Lorna iPhone Wallet Case ($64.95 for iPhone 6, $74.95 for iPhone 6 Plus), so I decided it was time to see if I could finally put my wallet away.

Now, just in time for Back to School, DODOcase has teamed up with a popular San Francisco designer on the DODOcase Urban Backpack ($220.00).

The Week of Apple Watch Stands Continues: DODOcase Dual Charging Dock Organizer and Apple Watch Charging Stand

Last week Apple World Today reviewed three Apple Watch charging stands: the Griffin WatchStand, the Nomad Stand for Apple Watch, and Fuse Chicken’s Bobine Watch. We also took a side trip to take a look at an odd little Watch stand on Kickstarter: WATCHme. This week we’re back with even more charging stands for the Apple Watch, this time from DODOcase. The company has not one, but two charging stands that we’ll look at; the DODOcase Dual Charging Dock Organizer (US$79.95) and the Apple Watch Charging Stand ($99.95).

Apple releases four more Apple Watch Guided Tours; DODOcase announces Dual Charging Dock Organizer

Ten days ago we told you about the first of a series of Apple Watch Guided Tours. Now Apple has released four more tour videos, bringing the total to seven.

Added were Guided Tours for Phone Calls, Siri, Maps and Music. I personally found the Phone Calls and Siri demos to be instructive, as it seems logical that voice commands will be the primary input to a wrist-borne device.
