Previously, I predicted that Apple will unveil its new iPhones, iPad Pros, and Apple Watches in a special September event (which I still think will happen), but forecast that new laptops would be unveiled in October. Now I think October will be the month that Apple will make available its high-end, pro Mac line-up.
With the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air updated this week, I think October will see the long-rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro arrive, along with the availability of the modular Mac Pro and the Pro Display XDR that were previewed at June’s Worldwide Developer Conference.
I’ll also go out on a limb and predict that the month will also see the debut of an updated iMac Pro and new Apple displays for those of us who can’t afford the $5,000 XDR Pro Display and its $1,000 stand. However, my crystal ball is a bit fuzzy on whether Apple will have a special event for the pro Mac updates or if they’ll be announced via a string of press releases.
