Notable apps and updates, Jan. 7-12

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they're popular and deserve mention. Here are this week’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Tomoyoshi Natsui has introduced Everlisten++, a music listening app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. It allows users to listen to the main portion of a song track, one after another.

The free app (which does tout in-app purchases) has a special feature to display the sensitive audio level meter for each 10 frequency segments. What’s more, you can control the playback speed and its pitch freely, so how much to unleash the power of the music depends on you.

KMAD has introduced Panmorphia: Enchanted, their third point and click, puzzle adventure game title for iOS and Android devices. In the $1.99 game, players are sent to the Lost Temple to enchant the amulet and evolve their powers.

macOS Apps/Updates

Ecleti has updated Menu Calendar to version 1.4. The Mac  tool makes a small calendar available under the menu bar in any running app.

Clicking Menu Calendar’s icon under the menu bar not only shows a small standard calendar that you can use to navigate inside any month, it also makes available a small area under the calendar for date calculation. You can add (or subtract) days, months, years and the app will instantly show the resulting day.

Cisdem has upgraded Cisdem Video Converter, a video conversion tool for macOS, to version 3.11. The upgrade adds more supported sites to the app's video download function and fixes two issues. It also optimizes the download function:.

Cisdem Video Converter requires macOS 10.10 or higher and costs $39.99 for a single-user license. A demo is available for download.
