Notable apps and app updates for March 9, 2018

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they're popular and deserve mention. Here are today's picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Knag Enterprises has introduced Fashion Invite - Wardrobe List 1.0. It’s a free women’s fashion swipe-driven shopping app developed exclusively for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices that showcases thousands of women's fashion items.

macOS Apps/Updates

Houdah Software has released HoudahGeo 5.2, an upgrade to its photo geocoding solution for macOS.

The app "pins" photos to locations where they were taken. Just like a GPS-enabled camera, HoudahGeo embeds latitude, longitude and altitude information within the image file. It works with Photos, iPhoto, Aperture, and Adobe Lightroom. Version 5.2 adds support for Lightroom Classic, brings enhancements to the geocoding workflow, and adds support for newer EXIF tags.

Licenses can can be purchased from the Houdah Software store. HoudahGeo 5.2 is priced at $39 for a single-user license. A demo is available for download.

Jumsoft has updated its Toolbox apps with more languages. The upgrade brings five new localizations to the productivity companion apps Toolbox for Pages, Toolbox for Keynote, Toolbox for iWork, and Toolbox for Office for Mac and Toolbox for Pages and Toolbox for Keynote for iOS. 

Jumsoft Toolbox applications provide productivity templates and designs and include everything from individual decorative items such as doodles, badges, and clipart, to completely formatted document and presentation themes and layouts. They’re now available in 14 languages total: English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, and Thai, with more planned in the future.

Zevrix Solutions has announced BatchOutput XLS 2.5.3, a feature update to its output automation solution for Microsoft Excel. 

In addition to batch printing and PDF conversion, the software lets users carry out professional PDF production directly from Excel and effortlessly repurpose Office spreadsheets for web and mobile devices. Version 2.5.3 lets users split Excel workbooks into single sheet PDF files while preserving the multi-page sheet structure in exported documents.

BatchOutput XLS can be purchased for $19.95 from the Zevrix website, as well as from authorized resellers and Mac App Store. A demo is available for download. BatchOutput XLS requires macOS 10.7 - 10.13 and Microsoft Excel 2008, 2011 or 2016.
