Cyclists know that for speed and comfort, you want to carry the bare necessities on each ride. Gary Waterfield, the founder of WaterField Designs, is an avid cyclist and designed the perfect way to carry an iPhone, keys, wallet, and even bike tools in the least amount of space. The redesigned Cycling Ride Pouch (US$79) and Club Pouch ($49) are now available for preorder and start shipping on May 20.
The Ride Pouch (image above) weighs just 4 ounces (113.4 grams) empty and easily slips into a cycling jersey pocket. There's a clear screen in a separate pouch pocket for viewing and seeing your iPhone, and both external and internal mesh pockets for cash, cards and keys. Made of full-grain distressed leather with ballistic nylon, the Ride Pouch can also hold a spare tube, an air cartridge, tire levers and patches.
The Club Pouch (image below) is a bit smaller and weighs just 2.5 ounces (70.9 grams), and comes in either black ballistic nylon or brown waxed canvas. There's an internal padded pocket for your iPhone and room for all your bike tools as well.
Knowing WaterField's quality of build, these items are likely to last you for years of riding. With the weather in the Northern Hemisphere finally becoming amenable to long bike rides, it's a perfect time to get a Ride Pouch or Club Pouch.
