Mac OS X Apps/Updates
Boinx Software has announced FotoMagico 5, an update to its slideshow creation tool for OS X.
The app lets youcreate customized slideshows, mixing photos with movies and audio. Version 5 features upgraded professional 4K slideshow capabilities, a new audio editing interface and advanced animation features.
FotoMagico 5 requires OS X Yosemite or El Capitan. It costs $49.99. FotoMagico 5 Pro is available for $99.99. Existing customers can upgrade to FotoMagico 5 Pro for $49.99 from FotoMagico 4, and $74.99 from FotoMagico 3. Existing customers who previously purchased FotoMagico 4 in the Mac App Store will be able to upgrade to FotoMagico 5 Pro free of charge once they purchase the basic version of FotoMagico 5 for $49.99.
Smile, the developer of productivity applications for Mac, iPad and iPhone, has launched TextExpander.com, which provides a way to share snippets across a team, along with new app versions: TextExpander 6 for Mac, TextExpander 4 for iPhone and iPad, and the new TextExpander for Windows beta.
TextExpander keeps your snippets current on all your devices and lets you easily share and manage snippets across whole teams. New sharing options let you share the wealth of knowledge stored in your snippets. For sharing management across a team of users, you can set up a TextExpander Organization.

GeekSuit has announced Client Folder Maker 4.6.1, an update to their folder creation and management utility for Mac OS X.
It’s a folder creation and management tool and is designed with the web developer, graphic designer, app developer, or prepress operator in mind. Version 4.6.1 introduces drag and drop folder hierarchies, a new "Copy To ..." feature, new Finder Extension, Presets Lock and minor file type updates and more.

iOS Apps/Updates for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Preside, a new email app created by GoodHumans, is now available in the iTunes App Store. This multifunctioning email app was developed to streamline organization and productivity for executive-level power emailers. The free app includes full support for Exchange categories, and it provides an important bridge between emails, tasks and calendar events. Preside works with all email providers, including Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, and corporate servers.
Bel Math Apps has launched Compare All Fractions 1.0 for the iPad. It’s a $0.99 tool to explore and consolidate students' knowledge of fractions. It includes a set of examples to compare all types of fractions: common fractions, mixed numbers, decimals and percents. Content is aligned with CCSS requirements for grades 3-6 and covers number and operations in Base Ten, number and operations-fractions, The Number System, ratios and proportional relationships.
