While Apple Pay has been available in the U.K. since July of 2015, one of the biggest banks in the country hasn't offered its customers the ability to use their credit cards with the touch-free payment system. Until now. Barclays has finally added support.
Barclays cardholders can set up Apple Pay through the Wallet app on iOS 8.1 or later. Bank-issued cards can be scanned or added manually by tapping the "Add Credit or Debit Card" option. Apple’s mobile payment system is also supported at Bank of Scotland, First Direct, Halifax, HSBC, Lloyds Bank, M&S Bank, MBNA, Nationwide, NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander, Tesco Bank, TSB, and Ulster Bank in the United Kingdom.
Apple Pay is compatible with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, and Apple Watch.
