This is National Karaoke Week so celebrate accordingly

This is National Karaoke Week, so we’ve rounded up some apps to help you celebrate. And don’t worry; neither Steve nor I will sing.

At the Mac App Store, you may want to check out KaraokeTube if you’re a serious karaoker. The $11.99 app has a streaming library of over thousands of songs with lyrics.

For fans of Disney’s Frozen movie, there’s Disney Karaoke: Frozen. The $7.99 app allows you to sing along with your favorite Frozen songs, record your voice with the original instrumental tracks, create a gallery of your performances, and share your recordings with others.

Instalyrics is a free app that’s good for other things besides karaoke. Click its icon and it will use Safari to find lyrics to a song playing in iTunes. Instalyrics will automatically refresh the Safari tab with the lyrics to the next song.

At the Apple App Store, there’s Sing! Karaoke, which lets you sing your favorite songs with sound effects — or “duet” with featured artists. It’s free, but does tout in-app purchases.

Red Karaoke Sing & Record lets you sing along with over 70,000 tunes and record yourself while doing so. You can record audio or videos and share them. Red Karaoke Sing & Record is free, but does promote in-app purchases.

If you’re an Apple Watch owner, you can view song lyrics on your smartwatch. It’s free, but — you guessed it — touts in-app purchases.
