Well, this is spooky: a glitch has been discovered that apparently affects iOS email apps with users receiving empty messages dated January 1, 1970, reports the Telegraph. The emails have no subject or sender, and opening them shows nothing.
The emails often appear when iPhone users are checking their emails in a different time zone. Their existence, however, appears to be due to an iPhone glitch, rather than anything more malicious, according to the Telegraph. If you’re experiencing the problem, try closing the email app and performing a hard reset on your iPhone or iPad. You do this by holding down the lock and home button until the iDevice resets.
