Mac OS X Apps/Updates
Ben Software, in conjunction with Pro Video Analytic Tools, has introduced MotionMap, a new video analytics software product designed to work in conjunction with any video surveillance (CCTV) system.
The Mac OS X compatible software analyses captured footage to build a picture of where motion most occurs in the video frame. These motion maps give insights into traffic flows - for example customers moving around a store or showroom.
MotionMap costs $199). A 10-day fully-functional trial version of the software is available for download.
MacXDVD Software has launched MacX DVD Ripper Pro, an update to its flagship DVD ripping software for Mac OS X and Windows.
With the hyper-threading and multi-core processing, you can backup and rip your DVDs on Mac with the final video and audio file in all sorts of formats, including DVD to MP4, H.264, MOV, M4V, FLV, MPEG4, AVI, QT, MP3 and more. Ripper Pro improves the software’s DVD decryption technology to support the latest released DVDs for legal personal use.
MacX DVD Ripper Pro is normally priced at $59.95 for a single user license. However, for a limited time it’s marked down from $59.95 to $29.95.
Timo Josten has announced Dropshare 4, an update to his secure file sharing tool developed exclusively for Mac OS X 10.9 and higher.
It’s a menu bar application for drag and dropping to upload files, screenshots and even directories to your own server, Amazon S3 and Rackspace Cloud Files. Version 4 introduces a reworked user interface. Landing pages may now be synchronized with Dropshare Sync. Version 4 also adds support of Amazon S3 API-compliant services.
Dropshare for Mac 4 is a paid upgrade for existing customers and sells for $24.99 for new users. Customers who purchased Dropshare 3 in 2016 will receive the upgrade free of charge; earlier customers may apply for a 50% off upgrade pricing.
iOS Apps/Updates for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
FOR neXtSoft has unleashed Kittens Vs. Zombies 1.0. To beat back the seemingly endless horde, players must kill zombies using various weapons, such as the Catling Gun, Cat-a-pult or even the Meowitzer Cannon. Kittens vs. Zombies is free, but does offer in-app purchases.
Timecode has announced Reiner Knizia's Dice Monsters 1.03, an update to their free dice game. Players must combine dice in the most optimal way to win battles against monsters in five different worlds.
iAppsTechnology has debuted Best Congratulation eCards 1.0. The $0.99 eCard app is designed to simplify the creation and sending of congratulation cards to wish your friends and loved one's success or achievement. You can personalize the eCards with pre-loaded templates and congratulation messages. eCards can then be saved as wallpapers, sharing via email and social media.
Farmed Uddin has released DigitLock 1.5, an update to the free app that lets you upload and store private videos, photos or notes to the cloud, and secure them with a passcode.
Maysalward, in collaboration with Magmic, has rolled out Dominoes Pro 5.1, an update to their free casual game. It’s a version of the classic board game with new themes and more. You play straight six dominoes and be the first to set and double.
tvOS Apps/Updates for the Apple TV
Art Authority has announced new Valentine's-themed shows for their Art Channel on the Apple TV. The new "Highest Priced" show lets lovers gift each other paintings worth over two billion dollars, while a new "Valentine's Day Inspirations" show lets them view a selection of classic romantic works.
watchOS Apps/Updates for the Apple Watch
Piotr Szwach has announced Proud 1.1, an update to his $4.99 gesture-based time management app for iOS and Apple Watch devices. It’s designed to help you view and manage important tasks, set reminders, and view accomplishments. Version 1.1 features community-created congratulatory audio messages in English that play when the user completes a task.
