Notable apps and app updates for Feb. 29, 2016

Mac OS X Apps/Updates

Aleratec has released a software update for the 1:22 Copy Cruiser Mini that now provides Mac OS X compatibility. It clones up to 22 thumb drives simultaneously.

iOS Apps/Updates for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

It’s a $1.99 educational game that offers children 10 and up a brainteasing math challenge as they help Carl make it safely through the ocean by tapping the correct answers to prove their skills with division, square roots, and prime numbers.

Lifelike has launched Alto Invoicing 1.0, a mobile invoicing app for freelancers, consultants, small business and professionals. It features integrations with payment gateways and cloud based file stores for instant payment and the referencing of work documents. With support for over 100 currencies, Alto Invoicing 1.0 is offered as a free trial, which allows users to create up to five invoices and estimates. Alto Premium is available for $19.99 per year. Premium allows customers to create unlimited invoices/estimates and the ability to add unlimited team members directly inside the app.

Countup has served up CountUp - The Connected Counter 2.8, an update to their free cloud-based platform for iOS and Android devices. It lets individual users or teams count virtually anything, from the number of attendees at a conference, to the number of cars using a road, the number of thunder claps during a storm, and the possibilities go on. Version 2.8 offers bug fixes, as well as navigation and usability improvements.

watchOS Apps/Updates for the Apple Watch

Jan Roskosch has announced Fitmanual 1.5, an update of the $2.99 Apple Watch and iPhone app that calculates your burned calories for a workout for which you couldn't take your smartphone with you. These calories are then immediately added to the Activity Ring to help youreach your daily goal.
