Fight for the Future organizing rallies to show support for Apple in its battle with the FBI and DOJ

Fight for the Future is helping organize rallies to support Apple in its battle with the FBI/Justice Department in its battle over whether the feds should get access to the iPhone of a shooter who killed 14 people in the San Bernardino terror attack.

The rallies will be held at Apple stores in more than 40 cities on Tuesday, February 23 at 5:30 p.m. local time. In addition, Fight for the Future says that those in Washington, DC can attend a protest at the FBI's headquarters at the same time. If you’re interested, show up at 5:30 (your time) and gather in front of your local Apple retail store holding signs or phones, computers, and tablets open to ProtestSign.org (which turns your device into a handy protest sign!) You can also bring your own handmade sign too! Our basic message is: “FBI: Don’t break our iPhones!” and “Secure Phones Save Lives.”

Fight for the Future (www.fightforthefuture.org) is a nonprofit “dedicated to protecting and expanding the Internet's transformative power in our lives by creating civic campaigns that are engaging for millions of people.”
