Earlier this week we mentioned that Apple was set to unveil plans for a new Apple Store in Stockholm, Sweden. Now the company is showing off an architectural model of the proposed building and site, showing a gorgeous glass building that features a reflecting pool, fountain, and amphitheater-style seating in a park that can be used even when the store is closed.

The images via Feber.se show just how the building will be placed at the North end of the King's Garden in downtown Stockholm, as well as the site work that will frankly enhance the existing park. The building itself is stunning, featuring tall glass walls and a sleek aluminum interrupted only by a few well-placed skylights.

What I find fascinating is that the building will fit into the site quite well, almost hidden behind trees that will be as tall as the structure. It's great to see Apple enhancing an urban environment rather than just throwing another building into the mix.
