Analyst predicts revamped, hot-selling Mac laptops in the first half of 2016

In a note to clients — as noted by AppleInsider — KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple’s Mac laptop line-up will lead the company’s growth this year thanks to the line’s “solid growth” among businesses.

He thinks we’ll see revamped notebooks arrive in June sporting new (not-yet-released) Intel Skylake processors, which will mean more power and better battery life. Kuo offered no details on other changes. However, there are rumors that Apple will expand the MacBook Air line to include a 15-inch model.

Kuo also forecasts that Apple will release a 4-inch iPhone and the iPad Air 3 in the first half of 2016. Regarding quarterly iPhone shipments, the analyst foresees iPhone sales at 77 million for the three-month period ended in December.
