What better way to get budding artists to use the iPad or iPhone as creative tools than to offer them free workshops teaching techniques and tips? That's the idea behind Apple's "Start Something New" campaign, which not only offers a gallery of artwork created by professionals, but also workshops at Apple Stores around the world.
Whether you want to learn to shoot stunning landscape photos from the air taking advantage of the iPhone 6s Plus and its amazing image stabilization, see how iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil can be used together with Procreate to create beautiful nature illustrations, or just want to learn a bit more about sketching or taking more than selfies, workshops are being held at most Apple Stores.
At some locations, the artists that are highlighted in Apple's campaign are doing the workshops: take, for example, artist Tiffany Bozic's session on iPad Pro and Apple Pencil on January 28 in San Francisco. At most Apple Stores, however, you'll work with a store employee who will lead a group through a photography or sketching workshop.
While it takes a lifetime of practice and skill to produce some of the results seen on the "Start Something New" web page, you have to start somewhere, right?
