Mac OS X Apps/Updates
Smith Micro has launched Poser Pro 11, an upgrade of the software for creating realistic 3D characters and scenes. In addition to dozens of new features and usability improvements, it comes with an extensive library of pre-loaded characters and content, including human figures, animals and props.

128bit Technologies has released Free Fonts - Christmas Collection 3.0, an update to their holiday collection of free fonts available on the Mac App Store. Ten new royalty free fonts have been added to the original collection, bringing the total number of Christmas fonts to 50.
All are in OpenType font format, and can be used for any personal and business project. They’re designed for use in graphic design, web design, holiday cards, family newsletters, party signs and invitations, banners, promotional material, advertisements, application development and more. Free Fonts - Christmas Collection 3.0 requires Mac OS X 10.6. They’re a free download.
Alex Gollner has introduced Alex4D Animation Transitions, a plug-in pack for Apple's Final Cut Pro X video editing software. Editors can use it to instantly animate video clips, graphics, pictures and text. Alex4D Animation Transitions allows users to use animation to add character to logos, titles and other story elements in the Final Cut Pro X timeline.
Each of the 120 Alex4D Animation Transitions adds animation to still images, on-screen text and video elements. Clips can be made to fly, bounce, skid, grow, shrink and flip onto the screen — on their own, or overlaid on top of other elements. Alex4D Animation Transitions can also animate clips off the screen in the same ways.
Alex4D Animation Transitions costs $49. The plug-in pack requires Mac OS X 10.10.4 or later and Final Cut Pro X 10.2.2 or higher.
Intuit has released Quicken 2016 for Mac and Windows users. The Mac version includes integrated bill pay that lets users pay their bills, transfer money between accounts, see what bills have been paid, and which are coming or are past due so they can manage cash flow.
The Quicken product line for 2016 is available now at Quicken.com and at select retailers. It’s available in a variety of configurations with pricing ranging from $39.99 to $164.99.

Super Screenshot, the screenshot taking tool for Mac OS X Yosemite or El Capitan, has been upgraded to version 1.1.2. The app lets you move, resize, or crop, as well as add text, shapes, or hand-drawing give you more editing options with your screenshots.
Super Screenshot is now integrated with Mail, Trello and Dropbox, offering sharing features that can serve working as well as entertaining demands. You can also bind your own hotkey for taking a screenshot.
Super Screenshot 1.1.2 costs $1.99 and is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Utilities category. There is also a free, lite version.
Wall West has released Glow Four 1.0. It’s a memory and logic game in which you play through five tiers to unlock end game content.
DynamicDust has announced Amaze 1.0. It’s a free puzzle game boasting a complex glass labyrinth from which you must escape.
misterSquare has introduced Crazy Seahorse. It’s an auto-scrolling action game inspired by the platforming genre. You play as the titular seahorses, using a context-sensitive one touch input to swim, leap and glide your way past obstacles, bombs and tropical islands as you collect treasure and rescue your kidnapped friend from the mischievous sea monkeys. Crazy Seahorse is free, but does offer in-app purchases.
DNA Studios has created Antyz 1.0. It’s a free puzzle adventure in which the player must control a scout ant destined to become a hero. To escape a sudden ice age, his species is forced to head to the center of the planet where it’s warm. The task is to open the path, allowing the colony being saved.
ZenBrains has rolled out Poker Solitaire 1.2, an update to their free card game that mixes Poker and Solitaire. The new version is compatible with the Apple Watch.
Bit Forest has launched Comic Battle 1.4.1. In the free game, players recruit and train a team of intergalactic fighters and play fast-paced online battles against other players.
Risal Debs has developed Pickapik 1.1. It’s a free solution for sharing and choosing photographs. Followers can rank your photos, or simply approve, or not, the shots you send.
Thumb Wizards has announced Radiant Radio 1.0 for the Apple TV. The $4.99 app offers an interface to stream Internet or broadcast radio stations. Radiant Radio brings you access to over 30,000 radio stations.
