Dennis Munsie pointed out yesterday on Twitter the immense size of the iPad Pro screen by noting that the distance between app icons on the new tablet's display is wider than the original iPhone display. That's 324 pixels (on the Pro) compared to the width of the first iPhone display at 320 pixels.
One thing I thought was a little odd about the iPad Pro is that Apple didn't try to reduce the spacing of the app and folder icons on the home screen to fit more of them in. Instead, there's enough space there to... well, almost fit an original Mac display in between the icons.
We've come a long way in 31 years (since the first Mac came out) and even in just the 8 years since the first iPhone was introduced. Amazing.
