Jennifer Aniston wins SAG Award for Apple TV+’s ‘The Morning Show’

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple TV+’s <em>The Morning Show</em> is doing well this awards season. At Sunday's 26th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles Jennifer Aniston won an SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her leading role as morning news anchor Alex Levy in the series.</p>

Apple patent involves a lens attachment system for iPhones, iPads

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">I’m skeptical that Apple will ever make its own accessory lenses for the iPhone or iPad, but you never know. The tech giant has been granted a patent (number 10,534,154) for “interlock arrangement for attaching a lens barrel to a lens carrier” that will, at least, make it easier for third parties to make photographic accessories for iOS and iPad OS devices.</p>

Privacy advocates side with Apple in battle with the FBI

Caltech says its (violated) patents helped improve Apple products

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">In the latest round of an ongoing legal battle, Cornell-educated engineer testified for the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) on Thursday that Apple and Broadcom infringed the university's patents in Wi-Fi chips used in Apple devices, reports <a href="https://www.law360.com/technology/articles/1235258/apple-devices-smaller-better-by-infringing-caltech-jury-told?nl_pk=ade0cf2b-ea3f-464b-bc93-d8e19277ac63&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=technology" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Law360 </a>(a subscription is required to read the entire article). They said the infringing technology allowed the companies to make smaller devices while improving their wireless data capabilities.</p>

Apple TV+’s ‘The Banker will finally arrive in March

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><em>The Banker</em> will finally arrive in March. Apple told Variety that it did its due diligence around the accusations and has announced theatrical and Apple TV+ release dates, reports <a href="https://variety.com/2020/film/news/the-banker-release-apple-1203469575/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Variety. </a>Originally scheduled for January, the film was delayed after someone came forward with accusations of abuse at the hands of an executive producer of the film.  </p>
