A fond video look at the 2007 iPhone launch

Back on this day in 2007, I spent pretty much all day waiting in line to get one of the first iPhones. Now, there were problems getting the devices -- which were only on the AT&T/Cingular network at first -- activated, but that was OK. My wife and I had tickets to go see another Steve Jobs-influenced product that day (Disney/Pixar's Ratatouille), so I waited somewhat patiently until the 30th to get my iPhone up and running.

During that day I shot a lot of video, and that's what you're going to see below. This isn't professionally done, but I talked to a number of people in line and you'll also see what the inside of an Apple Store looked like circa 2007 -- there were a line of shelves in the middle of the store to hold all of the software boxes...

Enjoy the video, and if you have any questions about it, please feel free to ask me in the comments section.
