Apple starts Twitter feed to promote articles for its Apple News app

As noted by AppleInsider, Apple has inaugurated @applenews, a Twitter feed dedicated to promoting "top stories and great reads" from the Apple News app for iOS.

Highlighted content is curated by Apple's U.S. editorial team, according to the first post on the feed. Though Apple has controlled the account for months, there was no content posted until today, according to AppleInsider.

Apple News rolled out in September 2015 along with iOS 9. It replaced the Newsstand app. Apple says that “articles are pulled from a wide range of sources, from top news organizations to indie publications.” So when is News coming to the Mac?
