Hi, I’m Steve Sande from Apple World Today, and this is the AWT News Update for March 30, 2016.

It’s almost the end of the month, which means that it’s also about the time that many of our monthly supporters get a charge for another month of supporting Apple World Today. I want to thank all of you listening who do support the site through your donations, and let you know that some changes will be coming in April that make supporting AWT a better deal for you. In the meantime, just know that we appreciate your support and that things are looking up — this podcast broke all listener records in March.

Speaking of supporters, many thanks to this week’s sponsor of Apple World Today, Ulysses. If you haven’t yet heard about this powerful and easy-to-use cross-platform writing tool, be sure to check it out.

And here’s some news…about News. The Apple News app, that is. Apple World Today has received the go-ahead to use iCloud News Publisher to create nicely formatted articles for publication in Apple’s app. Initially, we’ll be using the tool to make beautiful versions of our long-form reviews; think of them as articles in a magazine. In the future, though, we hope to have a way to automate publication of all of our posts in the tool so you’ll all have another way to read Apple World Today.

While it’s still March 30 here in the US, it’s March 31 in New Zealand and Australia, which means that some lucky people are getting their hands on the iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro. If you ordered a device last week, you should start hanging around your front door at 8 AM local time tomorrow for the delivery from FedEx or UPS. Tomorrow, retailers including Walmart, Target and Best Buy will begin selling the new iPhone SE and iPad Pro, and you’ll also be able to find the new devices at AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. Of course, if you live near an Apple Store you’ll want to hang out there to see what the newest little iPhone and iPad Pro are all about.

That’s all for this slow news Wednesday. We’ll be back tomorrow with another edition of the AWT News Update.
