Square's new Apple Pay-compatible reader available at all U.S. Apple Stores

Many small businesses depend on Square for payment from customers, but until last year the company's card reader could only accept standard debit and credit cards through a swipe. Square introduced the $49 Square Reader to let those small businesses accept Apple Pay and the new chip-equipped cards, and as of today every Apple Store in the U.S. carries the new reader.

For customers who still don't use Apple Pay or those EMV chip cards, the new reader comes with one of the "classic" swipe readers. I, for one, would love to see every store, every gas pump, every restaurant, and more locations taking Apple Pay.
