Verto Analytics: the iPhone 6 is the most used smartphone

Verto Analytics — a single-source, cross-device audience measurement solution provider — has published its Device Index, which helps device vendors and carriers understand who is buying their devices and how consumers are using their devices, services, solutions, and apps. It shows that Apple’s iPhone 6 is the most widely used smartphone (with 14% of all iOS/Android smartphone users).

The iPad 2 is the most widely used tablet device with 18% and 16 million users. Out of all iOS/Android smartphone users, 45% (73 million users) use an Apple device and 34% (56 million users) use a Samsung device.

Verto Device Watch reports over 100 metrics daily including: device vendors (Apple, Samsung, Dell); device models (iPhone 5S, Samsung Note 3, Sony Vaio); carriers (Verizon, Vodafone, Softbank); and operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows). Verto Analytics’s audience measurement solution measures the “complex behavior of today’s multi-screen, mobile consumer on every device, app, screen, and platform they use throughout their day.”
