Apple will debut its new 4-inch smartphone, the “iPhone 5se,” along with the iPad Air 3 at a mid-March event, according to DigiTimes. What’s more, along with Foxconn Electronics, Wistron will be a supplier of the new Apple smartphone, the article adds.
DigiTimes quotes unnamed “market watchers” as saying that Apple is looking to have Wistron and Foxconn both supply its 5.5-inch next-generation iPhone with Foxconn being the major supplier, while the 4.7-inch one will continue to be shared by Pegatron Technology and Foxconn.
Foxconn is the world’s largest electronics contractor manufacturer and is based in Taiwan. Megatron is a Taiwanese electronics manufacturing company that develops mainly computing, communications and consumer electronics to branded vendors such as Apple. Wistron, also based in taiwan, is an original design manufacturer.
