ASUS introduces a portable USB monitor that looks like a nice companion to the MacBook

At this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, ASUS introduced the ASUS MB169C+, a 15.6-inch portable companion monitor that uses a single USB Type-C connection for both power and video transmission from the host device. In other words, it sounds like a great companion to Apple’s 12-inch MacBook.

It weighs just 1.76 pounds and is 14.9 inches wide and 9.3 inches tall. The MB169C+ has a Full HD IPS panel that delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution, as well as wide viewing angles for minimal color shift even when viewed from extreme positions.

Pricing hasn’t been announced, but it’s expected to cost between $275 and $300. There’s also no info on when it will be released.
