CES: HomeKit products, the BoomStick, and more

Product announcements are coming fast and furious at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Here are some that will be of interest to fans of Apple products.

Honeywell has announced the Lyric Round Wi-Fi-enabled thermostat with HomeKit support. The $249.99 Lyric — available for pre-order — connects to a home's Wi-Fi network to allow the thermostat to be controlled via Siri or by using an iOS device and a free app that’s downloadable from the Apple App Store. 

Hunter Fan Company has debuted two new ceiling fans that are HomeKit-enabled. In fact, the Symphony and the Signal are the only ceiling fans that support HomeKit. They’re $329 and $379, respectively.

BoomCloud 360 previewed the BoomStick, which is designed to enhance the sound of any pair of headphones, transforming audio for movies, music and games. Customers can pre-order the BoomStick (pictured) for $99; it will ship in the spring It comes in black and silver and is compatible with any pair of headphones or earphones with a standard 3.5 mm connection.

NETGEAR is launching the $259.99 Nighthawk X4S AC2600 Smart WiFi Router (R7800), a router designed for “fast-paced gaming hobbyists” and others using 160MHz-capable mobile devices. It supports Wave 2 WiFi features like quad-stream architecture for both 2.4 and 5GHz, Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO), and 160MHz bandwidth.
