It’s Monday, but that doesn’t mean that everything is bad. I’m Steve Sande from Apple World Today, and this is the AWT News Update for May 18, 2015.

Activist investor Carl Icahn is known for his feisty opinions, for putting some companies out of business, and for his love of Apple stock right now. He helped shares of Apple rise to a price of $130.19 today after opening at $128.36 by releasing a target price for the stock of $240 per share. That would give Apple a trillion dollar market capitalization, something that’s never been achieved by any other company. Icahn also thinks that Apple will come out with a 55 to 65 inch HD television next year, which I personally think is baloney, and that Apple should definitely build a self-driving electric car. Icahn is bullish on the idea of a larger iPad Pro, expects iPhone sales growth to flatten out, and thinks that the Apple Watch will sell 10 million units during Apple’s fiscal year 2015, which ends on September 30.

Are you a Sprint customer or thinking about switching? If you live in Kansas City, Chicago or Miami, it’s now possible to take advantage of the company’s Direct 2 You program and have a brand new iPhone delivered to you and set up by a company representative. The service expands to Denver, San Francisco, and New York City in June, and is expected to be in 40 more cities by year end.

Fans of SoundCloud can now control playback through the Apple Watch. The app companion lets listeners swipe through their stream, using the Watch’s Force Touch feature to like or unlike tracks. There’s a Glance to show you the current song that’s playing as well. Just update the iPhone app to get the Apple Watch companion for SoundCloud.

Speaking of the Apple Watch, accessory manufacturer and design house Twelve South today announced that its $49.99 HiRise charging stand for Apple Watch is now shipping. The stand is available in silver or black, and can be used with any style of Apple Watch band. Expect to see a full review of the Twelve South HiRise soon on Apple World Today.

Audible, the audiobook publisher owned by Amazon, announced today that it added CarPlay support to its audiobook app for iOS. If you have a CarPlay compatible vehicle or head unit, an Audible icon will now automatically appear on your dashboard if you have the app installed on a connected iPhone. In other car-related news, Mercedes-Benz today announced that will have a Watch companion app available this fall. The app will initially work only with Mercedes C or S class cars, with support for other models expected later. The big feature of the Watch app will be easy handoffs between walking and driving directions. Select a destination on your Watch and it will first provide you with walking directions to your car, then pass guidance to the COMAND Online navigation system once the vehicle is started. When you’ve parked the car, it will provide you with walking directions to your final destination. Other features will be the ability to check fuel level, available range, odometer readings and maintenance codes from the Watch.

We’ll be back tomorrow with another AWT News Update.
