Apple has happy employees (but not the happiest)

CareerBliss has announced the sixth annual “CareerBliss 50 Happiest Companies in America” for 2016, honoring the top companies dedicated to cultivating happier work environments. Apparently, Apple employees are happy, but not the happiest.

Topping the list is a leading healthcare organization, UnitedHealthcare. Following the Minneapolis-based healthcare organization is biotechnology giant Amgen Inc. and the multinational pharmaceutical corporation, Novartis International AG. These companies beat notable technology corporations including Adobe (No. 9), Google (No. 18), Microsoft (No. 38), and Apple (No. 48). You can find the complete list here.

Consistent themes amongst the 50 companies that made the 2016 list are career development support, a positive relationship with managers and a strong company culture.

Thousands of employees from companies around the nation submitted confidential company reviews on, ranking their employers on the key factors that impact overall employee happiness. CareerBliss is an online career community “designed to help everyone find happiness in the workplace.”
