Apple goes country with Kenny Chesney in Apple Music ad

Ads for Apple devices and Apple Music often aim at an urban audience, but a new TV ad for Apple Music features country artist Kenny Chesney preparing for a concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts as part of his "No Shoes Nation" tour.

The ad, which premiered Wednesday night during the Country Music Association Awards, follows Chesney through a show day routine -- preparing a "Show Day" playlist and working out at a gym, looking at his progress with an Apple Watch.

In the one-minute ad, Chesney provides a voiceover in which he touts Apple Music as a streaming music service where "music is treated with a real reverence and respect." Previous Apple Music ads have focused on artists from a number of musical genres, such as U2, Flo Morrissey, Mary J. Blige, and more.
