Apple tops Interbrand's "Best Global Brands" list for the third time. The company has appeared on Interbrand's Best Global Brand ranking since 2000, when the ranking first debuted.
In 2000, Apple ranked #49 and had a brand value of US $5.5 billion. Today, Apple's brand value is $170.3 billion.
Other companies in the top 10 are Google, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, IMB, Toyota, Samsung, GE, and McDonald's. Valuation is calculated based on a company's financial performance, a brand's ability to influence customer purchases, and the extent to which it can support premium pricing.
