How to see which devices use your iCloud account in OS X El Capitan

Can't remember if you set up new MacBook with your iCloud account? It’s easy to find out with Mac OS XEl Capitan. Here’s how:

  • Open System Preferences and choose iCloud.
  • Click Account Details.
  • Enter your iCloud password and any other security details, if asked.
  • Click the Account Details button, then click Devices.
  • A list of all the devices assigned to your iCloud account will pop up. If you see a device you’ve forgotten to remove, just select it, then click Remove From Account.

OS X El Capitan is available as a free update from the Mac App Store. The operating system upgrade supports all Macs introduced in 2009 and later, and some models introduced in 2007 and 2008.
